Triangle Expands Manufacturing Base

(February 11, 2009) - Triangle Suspension Systems, Inc. has finalized plans to open a manufacturing plant in Mount Olive, N.C. Production is expected to begin in May 2009. The 110,000-square-foot facility will be dedicated to producing steel suspension springs for air style suspensions for the medium- to heavy-duty truck market.

"We are pleased with the addition of the Mount Olive plant," said Triangle President John Howard. "It gives Triangle the ability to expand our domestic production for the spring industry, which we have served for 90 years."

Triangle Suspension Systems is based in DuBois, Pa., where it operates a 96,000-square-foot manufacturing facility producing multileaf and tapered (parabolic) springs. Triangle maintains one of the largest product offerings of both multileaf and parabolic springs in its industry.

In 2007, the company opened a manufacturing facility in Punxsutawney, Pa., dedicated to short runs of multileaf springs. Harry Pehote, Vice President/General Manager of Manufacturing, said the Punxsutawney plant allows Triangle to fulfill special orders for non-stock springs in small batches in as little as 24 hours.

In addition to its manufacturing facilities, Triangle operates three strategically located distribution centers - in DuBois, Pa., Oklahoma City, Okla., and Fontana, Calif. "Our customers can place their orders and we ship out the same day in most cases," said George Koerner, Vice President/General Manager Distribution.

Triangle Suspension Systems is a Marmon Highway Technologies/Berkshire Hathaway company. Marmon Highway Technologies (MHT) supports the highway transportation industry with a broad range of products primarily for the medium- and heavy-duty markets.
